EBITDA Definition

EBITDA – n : finance/accounting term; acronym referring to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization; sometimes referred to more generally or less precisely as operating profit or pre-tax profit. EBITDA is also used as a quick measurement of cash flow, in that it measures earnings (profit, or the excess of revenues over expenses) prior to taking into account the non-cash expenses of depreciation and amortization.
