Alliant Healthcare Products has landed three contracts that could allow it to add 200 new jobs by 2011, officials of the Richland manufacturer announced.
The contracts are worth more than $50 million combined and will allow the company to create full- and part-time hourly positions in high-skilled manufacturing, packaging and administration, said marketing director Mark McCumby. He said Alliant has been gearing up for the additional work for at least six months and already has the physical capacity to increase production.
"Our newly awarded contracts have created a great opportunity and give us the needed push to help us grow our business here in Michigan," said Alliant CEO and owner Bob Taylor, a Richland-area resident.
