My wife and I recently opened a restaruant and bar on a highway with a daily car count of 33000 (ODOT. We leased the building and remodleled the interior as it was badly needing it. Re-creating the interior of a barn with barn stalls as boothes and cedar top tables, creating a country style steak house and atmosphere of which does not exist anywhere closer than 35 miles and the commmuity supported our efforts to the extreme.
WE had a backer in the beginning for $200,000. but did not follow through with promise whrn we went to use the monies, leaving us in lurch.
The first five days sales were $15,000.00. I truly believe this is a great location and the food is very good. However, it took longer to open tha anticapated and several problems put us further behind.
