The Life organization is a non-profit community service oraganization founded in October 1979 by James McNeal, in Deroit, Chief Executive Director. It was established to help improve the quality of life for low-incom,underserved youth, age 6 to 17. It primary service area's, bounded by substance abuse, youth crimes, youth gangs, and has very few sites where youth can engage in supervised, constructive activities. LOD"S mission is to help youth and yound adults overcome and reduce barriers that prevent them from seeking and fulfilling their dreams. It goals is to provide a safe, secure environment that supports youth in their stuies and life management with the hope that they will value learning and become productive citizens in the community.
