2006 saw a pilot scheme for "Spirit of the Community" I decided to take an opportunity to showcase the resources and talent that we have within the community” I took the “Bull by the Horns” and organised a day to show how the community is protected and served.
Although the anticipated numbers of the community did not show the event certainly sparked an interest. So much so that I am inviting other organisations this year, applying for a grant, forming a committee and using a bigger venue, (Ryelands Field) South Norwood London SE25
To date the following organisations have nailed their colours to the mast of "Spirit of the Community" Which will be held on Saturday June 16th 2007 between 10am and 4pm
