SELRAP Established 6 years ago, the long term aim for the group is to reinstate the 11.5 miles of railway between Colne East Lancashire & Skipton North Yorkshire with the trackbed being protected for a railway.
This former railway line constitutes as the Missing Link of a strategic rail route between Manchester and Leeds & Central Lancashire rebuilt the line would link the North West with Yorkshire & Humberside and the North East with a combined market of some 15 million people.
This major rail scheme would also fit with plans for the West-East Euro-Corridor.
