You have probably already heard that many states, counties, and cities in the US have either already instated, or will soon instate anti-idling laws for diesel trucks. In general, he idea is to reduce fuel consumption and air pollution caused by idling trucks. The EPA is involved, and soon, we will have laws in most states that prohibit idling trucks for more than 5 to 10 minutes. The trucks affected by this will not just be the long-haulers who park overnight. It pertains to almost all delivery trucks – even when they are loading and unloading.
